The impossible bridges on PhotoPeach

The Impossible Bridge

Today we read The Impossible Bridge and then tried to make our own bridges. We had to span a gap of 50cm using paper, cardboard, string, straws and tape. A car had to be able to "drive" across the bridge. Here are our bridges.

In week 2, we looked at the structure of a road and then we made edible chocolate roads to see how they compared.

Week 2 Homework Challenge

This week, the Room 3 students had the challenge of seeing how many individual items they could fit inside a standard matchbox. Ngaio and Jerome were miles ahead of everyone else. Jerome got 43 items to fit in his matchbox and Ngaio had 41. Mrs Todd came 3rd with 31!
